Bed / Frame Question

Does anyone know if a 1978 F250 Bed will fit a 1975 F250 without having to re-drill the holes in the bed? I tried to search for the answer, but got nothing. Thanks.

I know there are guys on here that have done swaps like this that can give you a full run down. I just happened to be cruising the forum and saw your thread, so I'll give you the short answer. No. You'll have to at least redrill the holes. '78 and 79 NOT Hiboy frames are wider than '73-77.5 HiBoy frames.

The frames were a different width, holes will need to be drilled.

Thanks guys. I had a bad feeling that it wouldn't work. Highboy beds are so dang hard to come by.

The bed could still work though. Drilling holes then welding the others closed shouldn't be a big deal. The only other issue I think you would have would be the gas filler. If you only have the in cab tank and don't have an Aux. tank on your 75, then you'll have a fuel door with nobody home. But, that's no big D, right?

Besides that, I can't think of any other issues you would have.

Anyone else?

you could just do some body work and hide the gas door, or simply add a aux tank, i would just re drill the holes its that simple, and good luck with it
