pulled the heads and intake. a few sticky valves, but otherwise very clean inside, i was surprised. sprayed gumout to free the valves. dont know how reliable that will be, but it worked.
perhaps engine was rebuilt. minimal sludge in the valley; almost no ridge at the top of the cylinder. carb has a "remanufactured" sticker on it.
i dont think i beat up the head gaskets too bad but where's the best place to order gaskets? it had victor copper gaskets on the heads, i forget the number. are they re useable?
posting pics to my gallery if anyone wants to check 'em out.
