lost reverse

lost reverse
What to do? I lost reverse(it moves barely,with increased throttle).I had also lost first,but it came back.Fluid level is good.It shifts from first to fourth,fine.
I have no idea what happened.One time it worked OK,the next time Nadda.
It had a serious oil leak that covered the entire underneath of the truck.Could the oil have gotten into some of the transmission electronics?
Do I need a rebuild? I do pull a 33 ft 5er,14000# gross. trans temp usually around 180deg.
I'm at a loss. P

What year?
What engine?
What tranny?
How many miles on it?
How often do you tow?
When you say it barely moves does the engine bog out or do the RPMs shoot up and you hear a whining noise?

2000 f350 7.3 auto,100,084 mi. The only way to get the truck to move in reverse is to rev the engine fairly high and then it begins to move,but very slowly.It doesn't make any noise except for the engine. It is as if the truck has a very heavy load and it takes more rpm to make it move.
I do tow a 5er about 1/3 of the time.Total combined weight(truck,5er,load,etc) about 20000#.I weighed it after a long trip,loaded.
