Man those are some crazy stakes.
I dont know if I would want to paint the stacks. I want that chrome look without paying chrome prices. lol.
I am thinking of straight piping them too. I think that would sound amazingly loud.

You could always get aluminized stacks and paint them with Duplicolor's silver High Heat paint.
I considered aluminized at first (just for less "bling") but decided to go chrome because I found a pretty good deal.

I think I like that. How are you running them? They look like they dont have a splitter in the bed.
I was also thinking about getting a tool box. What would be the best way to do that and the stacks? Is it possible?

put in a 3 inch body lift and then run the pipes up over the frame and up the corners of the bed

my splitter is under the truck, at the end of the transfer case skid plate. the pipes then go across the truck, to a 90º elbow up outside the frame, to another 90 pointed back. at the front of the bed, there is another 90 going up into a 3-4 adapter through the bed, and the 4 inch stacks go into the adapters.
in this rendition, the stacks are clampet to brackets on the headache rack. originally, they were bolted to the front of the bed. but that setup was a PITA to get to the nuts to put the pipes on though.
