Fuel pump duty cycle?

Just wondering, but when I hit the key, it says 100%. Start the truck 100% truck running 100%. Is that good? Just checking things with the reader and was curious.

Yes the fuel pump will stay 100% unless your truck is not running for 20 seconds I think then it should shut off. It is on or off, there is no in between. leave the key on for greater than 20 seconds (don't quote me on that) and you will see the cycle change to 0%

Yes that is perfectly normal. The pump is a constant output pump regulated by a mechanical regulator in the fuel filter bowl. If you left the key on without starting until the pump times out in about 20 seconds the duty cycle would read 0%. Otherwise it will always be at 100%.
