While its out....

So while ive got the trans out of the truck, is there anything else i should replace, besides the slave and the clutch?
Also im doing all the u-joints too as it needs them...

Or anything to do while under there that can boost some performance?

Just looking for tips, ideas, and opinions....

Thanks guys...

If you "crawl" a heavier flywheel would help, or if you more into higher RPM activity a lighter flywheel will build RPM faster.

Change the tranny and T-case fluid. . .maybe change out the tranny mount for a new one, especially if it's old and covered in crap. . .now would also be a good time to inspect your rear engine oil seal and replace if necessary.

it's late and that's all I can think of right now

Looks like the basics have been covered. I make it a habit that anytime that anytime that I have the tranny out I replace the slave cylinder.

Pilot bushin, throwout bearing check the clutch fork for wear, check all the yokes too. Also make sure ya get a new slave cylinder line. Rear main for sure, also check al the seals on the tranny and t case to see if theyre leakin.

There is no clutch fork... Hence the internal slave...
Checked rear main. Looks good as i knew it would...

Seals all look good too!

Did notice ive got an oil leak appears to be coming from the lower intake gasket... Is that a place that would have an oil leak?

Ah I thought it was an external slave like the one on the 85 that uses a fork.

Ya another thing ya could do is swap in a four speed so ya dont have to deal with it and ya would also gain the granny gear.
