Want to say Hello as I have never posted here before but have found this site useful and fixed things....THANKS.
I have a problem, and have searched, but have not found an answer. I have an 03 Expedition with the 5.4 Triton V8. It has about 110,000 miles and 10K ago I replaced all the plugs and coils. Today it started hesitating under partial acceleration, no engine light, no other problems or indications. Full throttle accelerates smoothly. Idle is pretty smooth but seems to have a slight "burble". I was thinking fuel filter or maybe injector problem....where should I start and how hard will it be to fix?
I can do most fairly easy stuff myself but if it gets real involved I need a good (and cheap...or at least reasonable) mechanic in the Tucson, AZ area if anyone knows one.
Could be the IAC valve or the MAF sensor getting dirty, or like you said an injector acting up. I'd clean the first two and throw some injector cleaner in the tank, then see what happens.

Thank you for the quick reply. Not being a mechanic I don't know what the IAC valve is and only have a vauge idea of the MAF sensor. Is there any easy instructions on here somewhere that would show me where these are located and how to remove and clean them?
The Idle Air Control (IAC) valve is on the top back of the throttle body. It has a 2-wire plug going to it and two 7mm or 8mm bolts holding it on. It's a tight squeeze, but you can get in there and get it off.
The Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor is in the housing right after the air filter. You have to disconnect the ductwork from the MAF and spray a cleaner inside the hole you see when looking through where the air flows.
