odometer working but not lit
my odometer works intermittently, sometimes not at all. it will still keep the mileage, but doesnt show on the dash. then if i hit the dash on top, it will work again?
ideas?

Yeah mine doesn't light up when I start up the truck but after a few mintues it will pop on then usually stays on but sometimes flickers out, but like yours it keeps the mileage and everything. Not a big deal to me as long as it keeps tickin the miles.

I just did what they told me to do in the read this first folder and it worked out great.. it was the same cold solder joint on mine that was pictured in the link. The only advice I have to give is to mot believe the Chilton manual when it comes to removal of the head light switch on 2000 and newer vehicles if you do what they say you will brake the switch. They changed the design of the switch assembly in 2000
