Hello, I was thinking about purchasing a set of 305/85/16 (36's)Buckshot Radials for my 1999 F-150. I am a little concerned with road manners and tire wear. About how long do these tires last and how do they ride, on a full size truck? If you could help me please let me know what you think. THANKS
I had them on my Bronco about 12 years ago, the ride good wear excellent. I cant remember if they were loud or not.
I think there is a similiar post somewhere in here
I had 35" Buckshots on a 1972 International Scout II and really liked the tires. They would take me anywhere I wanted to go and even some places that I really didn't now that I look back.
The post about the unmistakable roar is right on though. My youngest daughter was just born when I owned that truck and all I had to do to get her to sleep was take her for a ride around the block. The mellow sound of those tires at about 30 mph knocked her out every time.
