Relax, it was just before they released the V8.
From what I understand, they shut down for over a year while they worked out the V8. Can't see that happening these days.

Even if they did, I have my good ol 7.3. All i need is some oil and filters and fuel and that would make short work of that year

No, they did not shut down before releasing the V8. They shut down for six months between the Model T and the Model A. This was in 1927. Many Ford dealers went out of business since they didn't have cars to sell.
