Door window assembly

I have my doors all stripped down and new parts to go in. Does someone have a guide to the order of re-assembly? I looked for a tech article but did not see one when I searched one was mentioned.

I think the lock assembly goes in first, then the wind wing, but after that I'll start guessing.

Thanks for the help.

Jim

Jim, it's been a few years ago since I did the same, unfortunately my ole timer ability to recall is limited, but seemed to remember I installed the door handle and window regulator assembly before installing the vent window. Don't believe the door handle and lock mech. will be in the way if you go ahead and install them also. Suggest make sure the bottom of pocket is clean of any debre and the water relief holes are open. Copied the links posted below from my 65 Ford Truck shop manual. There is also a 'how to' article in the Dennis Carpenter Catalog on installing the vent window rubber, if you don't have a copy you can go to their website and open the online catalog, I have an older copy with the article on page 123. If you find the shop manual info helpful, may want to copy because may delete in couple weeks from photo-bucket and then link is useless.

The Carpenter catalog bit is very vauge when you actually strip the doors...drop me an email and I will send you one heckuva LONG email in elaborate detail about what goes where and in what order as well as the tools I have found best to use for a given task.
Its not a quick thing to reassemble the doors...time and patience is essential for starters...

Let me know, cs65
