I hate to say it but I bought the crooked wrench to adjust mine I hate buying tools that only serve one purpuse, but it was easier than trying to get to that darn bolt Good luck I bought mine at Orielies Auto Parts it was like 15 Bucks

Everyone is right...you either have to buy the crooked distributor wrench or make one of your own.

Right tool for the right job.
I love buying tools. I especially like the specialty tools. Such a drool factor when you can complete a job that takes a guy without the correct tool, in a matter of minutes while he is struggling to get creative.
The correct wrench will have a box end to limit rounded bolt, and it will be much longer than a homemade wrench that is all bent up.
I use Snap-on tools, so putting the heat to these is something I am not willing to do. I will spend the extra dough on the right tool. Sure does make it easy as pie.
No busted knuckle either. That is worth it weight in gold right there.

I agree, either way will do the job. Personally, i would make my own. But whatever floats your boat. Go to a pawn shop or something, pick up a chinese wrench for a buck, and bend away.

i like Harbor Freight for "one use" tools. they are really cheap, and when they break i know i didnt spend that much on 'em. ive had Harbor Freight tools last a good bit when i dont put my whole weight on them.

Same here. :)
I bought mine already bent at the swap meet for extra cheap since it
was already "ruined" and all. ;)

1/2" on one end and 7/16" on the other end that something like a fat
screwdriver will slip through for extra leverage.

On my 360FE with factory A/C... I used 1/2" knuckle-socket for years
but ran across the modified boxed-end and couldn't resist buying it. :)

YMMV
