Look in the rear by the axle tube, there should be the place to put a brake spoon in there. The parking brakes at least on my dually are inside the drum with a disc on the outside as normal brake. So you should be able to adjust them like a drum brake car or truck.

most of them should be self adjusting by backing up and using the brake. if it is stuck than try what totin_tools said. there should be an opening on the back side of the brakes to manually adjust the parking brake by turning the gear inside one way or the other

Does the pedal go down easily? If so, look on the outside of the drivers side frame rail in front of the rear axle. The two brake cables tie into the bar that connects to the one going to the pedal. There should be a nut on the back of that that you can take any slack out of the cable with.

that works if you have drum brakes..super duty's dont have drum brakes.. the ebrake adjust them selves when the ebrake is set..that is if they are working right...

backing up and hitting brakes will not work on a super duty...we have disk brakes..but the e brake is in a drum....you can try the nut..but 1rst I would try to adjust in the brake drum...you will see a rubber plug on the drum dust cover from under the truck..pull the plug and look inside with a flash light..you will see the adjuster right there..looks like tin gear..stick a screw driver in the hole and turn that gear...it will only turn easy one way...you could try pushing the e brake peddle and releasing 15 or 20 times..if the adjusters are working..it will adjust the brakes for you..but I would do it with the screw driver method..that way you know they are both set even

usually e-brakes are loose becasue they're worn out. Rear brakes get neglected alot, and the ebrake shoes hiding inside there even more so. When was the last time the rear rotors were off? Pushing 200k, they should be looked at at least every 50k.

good point...being only a parking brake you wouldnt think it would wear out..but if they over adjust or driver doesnt release them..it is posable...

well this may be painfully obvious but it looks like you need a special tool to get in there and adjust.....correct?

the rear brakes are disk brake with brake pads ..just like the front end..BUT..on the inside of the disk..there is a drum..that is where the e brake is..works just like drum brakes with shoes..but its a parking brake only...
