I had used the same brand/type in an old '77 Bronco. Had it in there for several years with no problems. That's what they are made for.
im sure that bronco wasnt pushing 500 HP with 40lb of boost ether...diesels are built much differnt then a gasser...mabey it will hold..but i dont have $15k to chance something like that...some thing blew that thing out...rubber isnt going to hold any better..other wise they wouldnt have steel ones in there...who did the Block for you?? i would call them and bitch about that..they should eat the cost..

Try to find one of these. NAPA carries this type. Don't know if it will be in stock in the size you'll need. Should be pretty common though. It is around 1 1/2" and that is a common Ford engine size.
rubber will hold for short term use and DD driving...put one in and take the truck to the guy that put the plugs in and bitch about it..they should eat the cost...
