Speedometer Error
Have a 1978 F150 with a 460, 9 inch lift and running 35 inch tires. The speedometer reads about 10 MPH slow with these over size tires (actual speed is 10 MPH faster than speedometer reading). What do I need to do to correct the speedometer error?

A speedometer shop (if you have one in your area) or a good transmission shop should be able to figure out which gear you need (how many teeth) and hook you up with it no problem. Or you can put in lower gears front & rear (which is the costly but better solution if you plan on wheeling with big tires). Or you can just live with it...you'll learn to ignore it eventually
