Why dont you get some carb. cleaner,or equivalent solvent? This poor carb. has had to run with its choke on constantly, youve run 2 stroke oil/gas in it,now youve got it immersed in Diesel. How are you planning on getting all the diesel out of it,diesel doesnt evaporate like solvent or gasoline? Im not trying to be an A#$ hole, but you dont seem to want to go about this logically, and because of this your not getting definite answers, only guesses! Again, please dont misinterpret this post,or my comments, but there are some true experts here, and if you give them the proper info they can probably help you out(i say they, not we,because im not an expert)

Well a little soak in diesel fuel and some compressed air along with carbmedic seems to make it run like a champ now. still did not find any name on the carb. Thanks again guys! Im not worried about the little diesel left in the carb because at one bad point in the trucks life when it didnt look like it was going to run the carb set fire and field dirt got dumped into it to stop the fire and never cleaned out. so as long as she runs i'm happy!

If this entire thread isnt a hoax or a practical joke, i will be shocked! Is there a September version of April Fool's day? Its been run with its choke on all the time, run with 2-stroke mix, caught fire, had fire extinguished with dirt, soaked in diesel, blown out with carb cleaner and compressed air,and its now running great! If this isnt a joke, and this series of events have actually taken place, 98Fordf150,may i politely suggest that you go down to your local store and buy lottery tickets, youve got the kinda luck that should almost guarantee you a few big winning tickets!

LOLLOL, good one but this is no joke, Now I'm not saying it runs good enough to drive on the road, it just goes in the fields. All I have to say is that it truely is a FORD, thats why she keeps going and going. I think that everything is so worn and loose that it just doesnt matter. This truely is no lie.
