I don't know but I don't think 3.54s are going to be easy to get it to burn out. With my limited slip, I can rarly burn out. I got er going in a parking lot and lit my rear set of dualls for a good 15-20 seconds against a curb (tires need changed anyway) but I cannot get it to do one in foward even with 4:10s in first gear and a turbo. My rear brakes could be holding me back as well as the dual tires and limited slip!!! Next time I will video it. I will be changing the rear tires after awhile so I will be on it for a long time next time!!! After new rear tires, no more burn outs, they cost too much.

Anyway, turning up the fuel without a pyro may be a bad idea. Also, i don't know how much improvement it will do without a turbo. You might just be pushing out more black soot.
Well, Good luck.

I like your chevy rust comment cause I could hear my ford econoline rust in rush hour traffic in the city!! It was litteraly falling apart while I was driving it!! Check out my old van!!! I littlerly had chunks of frame and body falling off this econoline I had. Everytime I closed the door, I would leave a pile of rust. You should have seen the pile of rust on the road after I rear ended someone. You may have to zoom in to see the rust on the bottem since it is a dark brown van by using ctl and +. I just had to post this turd. Great storage shead though.

You can hear ANYTHING rust around here. If they salted the roads around here you'd have to have a new truck every five years.
I don't mind the rain most of the time but I HATE the rust.

On the burn-out thing: I've broken too many parts to do burn-outs in my H.D. trucks anymore but I will confess to a half-@$$ed try in my '94, like MEGACAB I couldn't get much going with the 3:55, L.S. rearend. Too much traction. I'll have to wait for that previously mentioned rain to comeback. That first good shower that mixes with all of the oil on the road makes it real easy!

For some reason at the intersection out-front of my shop is the WORLD HEADQUARTERS for the Toyota 4wd. burn-out contest. Everytime it rains they all have to give it a try. The funny thing is all they can do is hop their tires and they just chirp and bounce, chirp and bounce, chirp and bounce. You'd think they get embarassed and quit, but apearantly not.

before i turned it up, i tried a burn out in 4L and blew the rear u-joint out, it was goin all right and then i hit the throttle... i put it into seccond and gave her hell it started spinnin the tires ( ive got either limited or posi, im thinking posi because when i go around a corner i hear a bunch of pop's from the rear end ) any way it started spinnin and then i put it into drive to get it into 3rd and it went to first and hopped 2 times and went BOOM...

With 3.08 gears I can forget about any attempt of a burnout with my truck. I have new tires as well so thats not gonna happen. With the old bald tires I had to be careful in wet roads. One time I was able to keep the tires slipping into 3rd gear. I could feel the friction point almost like feathering a clutch. No smoke or anything, only about a 5 MPH difference between indicated speed and actual speed, backed off at 35 MPH and felt a nudge as the wheels grabbed the road again. There is one place at a stop sign that had a hill where I really had to be careful. With the posi track, the whole back end would slide out if I stomped on it. Gonna find me a big parking lot next time it snows

I have no problem at all with burn outs! its just a bit trickier with a stick, but mind u i do have 4.10's. LOL i use high range two wheel drive....not a problem!!! On wet roads i have to watch it while going around corners in 2nd and 3rd! She goes sideways pretty quick!!!! I love burnouts but like everyone else i to cry about how much tires cost!! There not cheap when u have 33's!

Limited-Slip and "Posi" (posi-traction)are the same thing. It sounds like you might have a Locker, probably a Detroit if you get a poping noise going around corners. That's the unit locking and unlocking very fast because you're not applying throttle to it so it's letting the two axle-shafts spin at different speeds.
If you do have a Detroit count your-self lucky as they are almost indestructible and cost probably 800 bucks or so with installation.
I'm not sure why but you have better control of a locker than a limited slip when doing a burn-out. It's almost impossible with a L.S. to do a burn-out around a corner with out losing it. With a locker it still takes some concentration but it's easier.
I THINK it's because the locker keeps the axles rotating at the same speed and the L.S. lets one spin a little bit faster making the handling unpredictable.

My 6.9 would lay down more than it's fair share of rubber with my quad in the bed when it was N/A, with an empty bed, it was wheelhop city. That was with 3.55's and a welded diff... I didn't try it with the turbo as it ate u-joints with it on as it was...

Over 800 dollars for a set of mud tires.
300 dollars for a drive shaft.
4 tons empty weight.

If I want to do burnouts my 1127 Kawasaki drag bike does it much better and cheaper.

true, ive always wanted a busa but i doubt ill ever have the money.

i love doing burnouts in a truck when the tires are bald and you have to replace them anyway ( i have a PILE of tires, probably 20-25 feet in diameter)
