burnouts...
I guess I must be old.
My point was there are lots better machines more suited to doing burnouts.
I break enough stuff under normal driving conditions.
So you go out and get the rear tires spinning on a close to 8000 pound truck, the rear axle starts hopping, there goes a drive shaft, transfer case or rear axle.
The cheapest repair on that list is 300 for a new driveshaft.
Now not only am I laying out cash for a repair, but I am also walking to work till I get it fixed.
To each his own, but burnouts are not something I try to do.
Cheap tires, never on my truck, I never know when I will have to drive through some mud pit or climb some steep slick hill.
Mud tires cost to much to turn to smoke, they already wear out way to fast.

im trying to make a moderate hp diesel so i can show up the BB chevy's that win the burn out contest every year, ( winner gets a free set of tires from schwabs) second place gets 50 bucks lmao big difference in worth

That's the kind of thing a juiced up 6.9 can do to driveline parts without abuse, just making the truck work for a living... Last summer it ate 8 u-joints at the yoke on the rear diff, and busted the yoke... Mind you when I was towing with it, I was probably 18K at the lightest...
If You want to win a burnout contest, traction bars, locked diff, upgraded drivetrain, etc are necessary, but, if you are blowing smoke out the exhaust, route it out in front of the wheels so it mixes in with the tire smoke... From my understanding of a burnout contest, more smoke = better, so....
yes the more smoke = better but its also graded on a couple other qualitys,
ease of burn out and a few other things, but if you mix soot from the exhaust it makes for a worse burnout because soot is heavier than air and it pulls the tire smoke down to the ground

My cousins 94 f350 single cab with a 4 in lift and 285 street tires(has another set for the mud) can easily roast the back passenger tire. Just put the shifter into 1st and hold the brakes. The truck has about 180,000 on it and still kicks out the power with no turbo.
Yeah, I have a couple yokes that look like yours.
I also have a couple drive shafts that aren't much better.
And I have replaced a transfer case that split right down the middle.
All that with normal driving, no spinning tires or speed shifting type driving style.
