2002 F250 bolt patterns
I am looking to put some new wheels on my 2002 F250. I am looking at these stock rims off of the 2008 F250. To my understanding the bot pattern is the same but the lug size is different? Is this right? If so what will I have to do to make these fit? I think the 2008 is 14x1.5 and the 99-02 is 14x2. What size addapters will I need?
Thanks
Jason

The good news is the 1.5 and 2.0 are thread pitch. The diameter of the lug is 14mm, so the hole in the wheels are the same size, it's just the tooth spacing in the nuts that will be different. So no adapters needed.
Thanks,
Jason
'98 - '02 uses 14mm x 2.00
'03 - present uses 14mm x 1.50
The reason people use wheel spacers (not adapters) is to compensate for the difference in backspacing which changed in '05. Many people including myself do not recommend wheel spacers for safety and wear and tear concerns, but some people are ok with it and it does correct the problem of the '05-up wheels sitting too far inboard and rubbing on the pre-'05 trucks.
If you do decide to run wheel spacers, just make sure that they are quality and hub centric to hub centric in design. FYI... A good quality set is going to run you around $600. Check out the following link, many of the guys here are running Fred's spacers...

If you can live with 18" wheels, here are a couple of direct bolt on wheels that will work perfectly for your truck...
These first ones say they are for a 4X2, but they fit 4X4's just the same and are a steal at the price for a proper hub centric wheel...
