Lookin for a good and reputable tranny repair center in the socal area. I have a 93 F250 single cab long bed 2wd. Is it a pain to drop the tranny myself? I have alot of tools and am pretty mechanically inclined but a little nervouse doing it my driveway. Help me find someone worth a S#$T.

It isnt bad to change a tranny in a 2wd. Ya gotta pull driveshaft, maybe exhaust y pipe, drop cross member unhook the linkages and lines, torque convertor bolts and bell housing bolts and maybe a couple of things as per type of trans. As u know trans can be heavy for one guy so a good tranny jack or a motorcycle jack to drop er down and put back in. just remember to make sure everything is unhooked so u dont damage anything. nice thing is u should be able to get under there without jackin up the truck
