parabol spring question
parabol spring question
Hello to all,
I'd like to pose the next question; At my 1898 F-350 4x4 7.3L diesel for the front axle are mounted (OEM) parabol springpacks. In fact they look like leafsprings, only they don't touch at other places as eyes and in the middle where they are mounted to the axle itself.
The question is are they supposed to be straight with the front springhanger at the foremost (max.) position, so that i feel all the stones and holes in the road, or should i reset them so they have a little offset, with the spring hanger not in the foremost position (so he has a little travel left?)
hope one kan help me out here.
Bart
