So I finally came up with the money to buy an exhaust. I have decided to go with a 5" single exhaust. Not sure where from yet, but I am researching. I have seen some pretty sweet tailpipe set ups. Some where people run them out in front of the rear wheel, and others where the exhaust comes out like normal, but then on a 45 degree angle towards the ground. I'm just kinda looking for ideas on how to run mine when I install it so if you guys could post up some pics of how yours are ran out the back that would be great?
I see that you're running mud tires so here is one input on the tip. Mud gets heavy and a 5" exhaust could hold lots of mud. Too much heavy mud could rip a hanger or pop a spot weld on a hanger near the end of your exhaust. A 45 angle toward the ground might stop the buildup of heavy mud. I've never seen it but have heard of it happening.
Just one input.
i say go for a 7" tip with the 5" exhaust, i have a 4" exhaust with a 6" silverline tip (pic in sig)
This is just about exactly like mine and of course what I prefer. You sure don't want to go in front of the tire and you do not want to blow it at the ground. IMO duals out the back are just a waste of money that could be spent making more power somewhere.
It is much more porportional with the wider 13.50 tires on a 10" rim that I have now. I will try to get a picture of that sometime. Its a 7" on 5" exhaust
