Exhaust ideas

ok guys I was just readin a section on here about the exhaust fumes coming back in if you are runnin your exhaust out the back. I have my exhaust straight out the back.

I was wondering if yall would post up some exhaust pics so I can steal some ideas for where my exhaust would look good comin out in the rear.

I run pretty much a straight pipe. I think I might have the very first cat on there but I think its a lil blown out ha

The stock exit from under the truck is to the passenger side behind the rear wheel. Mine exits there. I know folks who have opted to exit the same side but in front of the rear wheel. Still others split the exhaust behind the rear axle and exit two pipes... one out the stock location and the other out the opposite side. There is a guy around here that came out the rear corners below the corners of the rear bumper. Personally, I wouldn't want a pipe end below the bumper considering how often my departure angle leaves the bumper dragging which would only serve to crush any tailpipes if they extended below it. Just a couple of ideas there alas I can only offer photos in my own gallery for the stock exhaust exit location.

well I am goin to be runnin duals so stock exit only doesnt really do it for me. I dont really like the stock exit location personally. I really like the look of the straight out the back but like I said earlier people told me not to do that. I mean it always smelled good to me ha. and I almost always roll with the windows down

you must not have read the the exhaust threads very good.

since you have a 96 its important that your running dual cats. this is important for your efi system to run properly with your 3 o2 sensors.

also Duals are ment to run as strait as possible with an X pipe or H pipe. this is damn near impossible unless you run the lightning X pipe and run the exhaust down the passenger side of the bronco and then have the driver side pipe come up over the rear diff to exit out the driver side rear.
again this will cost more due to the extra exhaust pipe, bends and not give you any more performance gain vs a Custom or Bassini Y pipe going 3" thru the hi flow cats then out stock location. now a good exhaust shop can get creative and tuck your exhaust up and make it look real good if they know what they are doing. Mine dumps out passenger rear but instead of making the 45 out behind the rear tire its cut and sits flush with the rear quarter panel behind the rear tire. due to how its cut and how close it is to the tire the exhaust still gets pulled out away from under the bronco so i dont get the exhaust fumes. i also dont worry about damage to the pipe when i wheel my rig.

No my name is misleadin I am a retard and put 96 type instead of 95. My truck runs just fine without 2 of the 3 cats, and the other is probably blown out with my 200+k miles. I plan on running a custom bent kit from our local muffler shop and they are good with what they do. They tuck up all the pipes high and tight but not where they get into contact with anything else. I was just wonderin what would look good for where the tips exit because I run mine now out the back. It works good as a rear window defrost ha

Looks is a matter of opinion. I like the stock location, I just think the stock pipe looks wimpy. I put a 3" stainless the whole way back. I guess a big tip would do the same thing.

In your case, if you dont roll the back window down, straight out the back is OK. (the side windows can be down)

But I also agree with the others, dont wheel if the pipes go beyond the bumper. I know some one that cruched his pipe and it bearnt the valves.

Yea I dont really wheel. Just some offroad escapades every once in awhile. I like to roll my back window down but my motor burns up every time I get it fixed. I dont know what is wrong with it. I dont like 90* turns in exhaust hence the 45 idea but I just want some pics exhaust placement to find the spot I like the looks of

well kemicalburns, I do not know how to change my sig. I have been on other forums but I dont know where this sig change is.

but I have a 351W fuel injected with some sketchy duals I think there is one of the cats left on the exhaust. and I have a K&N air filter. the engine has 200+k miles without any rebuilds of anything.

dont worry about the name change.

at the top of this page you will see User CP, click on this and on the left side of page under settings and options you will see Edit Signature. this is where you can give a description of your rig so that everytime you post it will show up automaticaly.

I looked around on the site after I asked you this and it turns out I cant have a sig until after 25 posts. So, sorry I will get that up as soon as I can though.

but for the vehicle description.
1995 Ford Bronco Eddie Bauer
351W fuel injected
auto-I think it is the E40D
Like I said I thought it had 3.73 gears but I will double check tom. when I go home
the only mod I know of is the k&n air filter
everything has 200+k miles on it and its all original
It is the dark blue/green color with the tan top and lower(eddie bauer eidition)
leather interior
worthless back window- I dont know what is wrong with it. The motor runs but only lowers the window like 1/4-1/2"
dual exhaust- y pipe for the manifolds back from the single blown out cat then y's back out to two 3.5 inch chrome tips that exit out the back on the sides of the hitch.
I run a 31 inch tire on the stock super single type wheels
I also dont have my lock nut key anymore for my spare so I have a worthless spare on the back

I think that is everything.

If its the stock transmision, it's the E4OD for sure, as it were from 92 through 96.
