What does the custom mean

I have been looking at buying a 76 F250 custom what comes on the custom trucks?

custom on these trucks can mean anything. a custom if just bought off the lot usually had no options; but if ordered you were able to order any options available that there was. PS, PB, AC, AT, etc. it could be anything

custom was the base model, like XL is today. you could add options to it, but some were only available in the ranger/lariat packages.

ya its usually just the bottom of the line normal truck.. no bells n whistles

I had a '77 f150 custom 2wd years ago. I was second owner and bought it from a doctor who kept it at his farm/summer cabin. The only options were the 351m, a traction lock rear end, an AM radio, sliding rear window and the Ford ABS camper shell. No carpet, no chrome. Just a great basic truck that I sold before a move to Arizona because it didn't have air. Damn, I was an idiot.
