1991 f150 302, what engine will bolt on?

Could you tell us a little bit about your suspension. It looks like you and I have pretty similar trucks, right down to the color. My suspension is getting a little tired, especially in the front, and I've considered a modest lift. What have you done..?
Don't mean to hijack the thread. I can start a new one if need be...

It might be better if you started your own thread on this,,, if you notice the last post before yours in this one is from 12-27-2008, 11:01 AM
But to answer your question, yes, it will bolt up,,, but why in the world do you want to downgrade?

They are not from the same engine family so I would think that some pretty involved wiring and a engine bay mods are needed. You would be better off starting a new thread. Maybe someone on here has done this swap.
Hi Guys&Gals I'm new here and am wanting to put a 302 HO in my 87 but Conanski says (And I believe he knows what hes talking about) that a 86 302 isn't a candidate for the swap. my Concern is my 87 has a manufacture date of 1/87 on the door, I've read that some 87's had 86 engines carried over to the 87 models. How can find out if my engine is an carried over 86 or the 87 version. Thanks
