My engine **** the bed, 189,000 miles on it. I dont' want to change wiring harness or anything but the engine. WHat year engine will work with my truck for a direct drop? Not sure what years will fit.

Don't put a mustang motor in your truck. The mustang motor makes its power much higher up in the powerband and you need all the low-end torque that you can get out of a 302 to move a big heavy pickup truck. Unless you have a heavily modified 302 that makes lots of power you'll regret it.
Swapping a 351 is a good idea, but the 351 makes quite a bit more torque than the 302, and that may shorten the life of your tranny.
You will also need a new PCM if you go with a 351. Your 302 PCM will run a 351, but not very well.

I have a mustang 5.0 in my 91 F150 and had the roller cam and lifters in it with headers and duals and 350's front and rear and it would boil my 35's...but when I put the 38.5's under it LOL it wont even think about it.
Im wanting to do a 351 swap on her for more power, I have the E4OD Tranny. Will that work fine or will it shorten the life of the tranny if I do end up figuring out how and actually do the swap?

Boys, the stock 5.0HO cam is smaller than that Comp XE264.. so it too can be considered a TQ cam. There's absolutely no downside to replacing the stock truck 5.0 with a HO, you'll get more power everywhere, no computer changes or mods necessary, and all the stock truck accessories and intake bolt right on. The is an ideal swap.

If this is the case, then my options just got bigger! I know lots of people that have stock 5.0's laying around from 87-93 mustangs...Oh yeah, can it be from a 97-93 mustang using the same harness? cause I have a 1992 mustang alot of the wiring looks different.

NO!!!!!! You can't use any electrical wiring from the car.
The firing order is not the same, but the truck EFI system doesn't care so just use the mustang distributor as it's wired.
It also doesn't matter what tranny is in the car, just be sure to use the flywheel/flexplate currently in the truck.
