why would ford truck's burn them out? and what problem is your friend having? dim lights or burning them out premature? he might have touched the glass accedintal? and that will blow the bulbs fast. my buddy has a 03 lightning with piaa's in them and hasent had a problem in over a year
the only thing i have heard is that the bulb it self is not very popular yet, new bulb H13, i believe
headlight bulbs Part # H13 a.k.a. 9008
Fog lamp bulb Part # 9145 or H10 the 9005 will also work with slight mod to the bulb, you have to cut 1 small tab off

My Manual says the foglight # is 9140.
But, the 9005 is the one that worked perfectly for me.
I didn't have to cut any tabs off.
Oh...and I got the Silverstar High Performance bulbs for the headlights and foglights.
Now I just have to wait until tonight to see how well they really worked.
From a daytime comparison, the foglights were easily 3x as bright as the stock bulbs.
As for the SUV harness it is a plug and play new harness for your lights that bypasses the factory wiring and get power right from the battery. It changes the voltage from 12.2 to 14.4 and I think now you can get it set up with a britebox wired in.
