Hello from MO - 1st time user
Just a quick hello from Missouri. I have a 1997 F250 SD crew cab with the 7.3L powerstroke.
I am having some problems with the engine and hope to finde some suggestions here.
Took it to Ford dealer to find out why it was rough when cold and low power. Got it back after $1,400, new wiring harness and valve cover gaskets, cleaning of fuel filter seperator bowl, two weeks of messing around with injectors because the mechanic said acouple of them were dropping loads occassionaly. Now runs worse than before I took it in.
Engines stalls with regularity after warming up. After foot is off fuel pedal and coasting the engine will die. Not the best thnig to happen while negotiating a turn while pulling a boat. If I slip it into to nuetral I can keep foot slightly on the pedal to keep it from stalling. While idling, it will rev up and down.
Dealer says, after $1,400, doesn't know what's wrong. Wants to do another diagnostic, even though the last one didn't show any codes, and there's no check engine light on either.
Love the truck, hate the problem.
