This is a repost, as I got zero replys the 1st time.
I at least need to know what axel code 37 is.
Here's the original post:
Believe me, I've searched 'till I have a headach. The only door sticker decoder I can find is in this forum's tech folder post (1st post of the forum), but it's 5 years old. Can anybody lead me to a link with an updated decoder?
Always with gratitude!
Is the 5 year old thread wrong? Why don't you tell us what truck (year, model, & engine) the sticker is on and we might be able to offer some more advice. Have you crawled under the truck and looked at the tag on the diff?
Are you trying to figure out what axle you have, what gear ratio, or if you have a limited slip?
I don't think the 5 year old thread is wrong, it just doesn't have all the codes I've seen. For instance, axle code 37 ......it was on a photo of the door sticker of a truck listed for sale on the internet.
Again, thanks for any help.
Cool, now I know what code 37 is. Where did you come by that info, or did you just happen to know it.
As for as more information, I can only say I've looked for a couple of codes off of door stickers here lately, and the list on the forum doesn't have them. Apparently some have been added since the list was published. I can tell you I'm hunting an '05 or '06 F350, SRW, short bed, Lariat.
Thanks
For heaven's sake, I'm sorry if what I'm asking doesn't fit into a neat little box for you to decipher for me......I have told you exactly what I would likr to know.....sheessh

Before you freak out - you need to tell us the year of your truck (in other words the details of your ride) when you ask a question. The codes are different depending on the model/year. You did not tell us exactly what you wanted to know because you did not provide enough details in the first post.
Here is a link to the axle codes on the 10.5" Sterling rear end for the SRW super duty trucks.
