If you need some help or parts IM I know a guy in your part of the state who likely has it or can lead you to it. Looks like you have a good start tearing it apart. Are you going injected or are you switching back to a carburetor? THanks
Your comment about your grinder in the picture taking the bed apart made me chuckle. My Dewalt grinder is the single best tool I have ever had. I don't know how it's still running either after all the abuse it's taken.
I added new pics to my gallery "1956 Ford f100" Tennessee, 2nd page under the 1956 trucks gallery.
Man, I know what you are going through!! It's rough enough, doing it INside, I can't imagine doing it OUTside...I think the worst part would be the rain - I try to get something done every day...
Thanks for all the feedback. Working outside gets really hot here in Tennessee. I am doing most of the work myself, when work, my wife and time allows. I am going carb on my 5.0, and trying to get parts now, when $$$ allows. I hope, one day, to have a sharp effie like a lot of you guys have.
speaking of grinders...
I was grinding the other day when I felt a great vibration. I looked, and the screws holding the grinder head together were backing out, and the grinder was falling apart!!! Its a cheap B & D grinder which I have had for some time, and has been a great tool. On this truck alone, I have used about 20 cutting disks. Have also used 5 cans of PB Blaster and one can of Liquid Wrench. Lots of rust!!
