Hey guys, I wanted to thank all of you who helped me tune my carb. I averaged 16.5 MPG's down to the show in Pigeon Forge TN and back. We drove up in the mountains and it didnt do so good goin UP hill all the way, but with the new springs, it sure HUGS the curves. We had a most excellent adventureThere are more pics of the show and such in my gallery under Pigeon Forge Show pics
Thanks Bobby, we had a great time! How are you doin with your EFI stuff? I got a tip for ya if you dont have a seat yet for your truck? I am doin a headliner in a Dodge Dynasty car, about a mid '90's car. The seats measure 49" from side to side, and have a nice drop down armrests with cup holders in them. If you done away with the headrests on them they would work great in a '48 to '52 trucks.
I haven't made any progress on the truck in ages. Life has interfered with truck time. You know how it is, remodeling rooms, landscaping, repairing daily drivers, going to the lake, etc, etc, etc
Good tip, next time I'm at the wreckers I'll see if I can find one to look at
Glad to hear you finally made it home, thought maybe you were still out there somewhere trying to stay ahead of that old homade truck-----ha ha ha-----------I love it when a plan comes together and I'm glad we planned the past weekend, Garry

YEP, me too!! I loved every minute of it! We had a ball down there. I cant wait til next year now. I've got to get started on my panel now. I'd love to drive it down there next time. I am definately stayin at the hotel next year so I can be right in the middle of all the action and not have to drive "home" every night.
Glad to hear you guy's had a good time, there sure was a lot of nice looking trucks there judging from your pictures, some I recognize from some of the magizines. One thing that bothers me about shows is the fact that nearly everyone has to have thier hoods propped open which I think spoils the look of the truck.
John
56 panel, I know what you mean about the hoods being open, I think it ruins the pics but when you have big bucks under the hood I guess they want to show that too.
