As you might guess from my handle, I have a 1995 Bronco with a 5.8 motor. Also, it is a California truck. I am trying to unplug the connector to the computer, just to check it for damage or anything that doesn't look right. I think I found it ok. There is a 10mm bolt in the middle of it. I tried backing the bolt out and pulling on the connector, but the bolt doesn't back all the way out and I don't want to force it. The connector doesn't seem to get loose at all. What am I doing wrong here?
you have to tunr that bolt a while.. its long.. i tought also that mine would not come off but its a long bolt.. keep turning it and keep trying to get it out

So the bolt comes all the way out? Then just pull the connector off?

No it does not come all the way out, it stays in the connector plug. It will back the connector plug out but if the plug gets a little cocked it will get hard. Just wiggle it back and forth as you back out the plug.
