I just noticed (after owning truck for 6 months, yea I"m all over it!) that my rear Bilstein shocks are installed with boots down. Did a search and found out that this isn't correct, correct? Should I get two beers and reinstall them boots up or wont this matter much. Haven't got a clue how long they've been like.
Thanks much.
The BE5-2818-HO fronts and the BE5-2819-HO rears, the replacements for stock stocks on a 4x4 with stock suspension, should be mounted with the boots at the bottom. They won't fit the other way.
If they, the 2819's, wont install boots up, guess they're installed correctly.
Maybe just grab two beers and look at them for a while.
Thanks all, panic mod over......
