Yet another high idle thread

I've been thinking about doing the high idle mod on my 2004 6.0L, but I have some questions.

First, I found this set of instructions for using the PTO wire on a 2003.

High Idle Mod

However, it specifically states that it will not work with a manual transmission, which I have. Is this true? I have the right wires. If I hook them up will it just not work?

Second, I'd really prefer to use the BCP method described here.

However, this appears to be for 2005 and up models. I don't have a purple wire with a light green stripe in the bundle behind the parking brake cable. There are other wires there, but I can't find any information on what they do.

Is there even a BCP option on the 2004 model? And is there any option that will work with a manual transmission?

Test that bundle for the conditions you want, I believe with parking brake set, transmission in neutral, foot off service brake, when you put 12 v to one of these wires you should get an RPM lift. then be sure to test without e brake or neutral you dont get this lift in RPMs and you have your wire. Mines an auto and I used this second link.

Check this out, posts from further down in the tech folder. Looks like both wires work for manual but you can do a relay to the e brake signal wire for safety...
