Turbo problems?
I have an 06 250 6.0 with 130,000kms on it. I had the head gaskets all replaced under warrany last year. Over the last couple of weeks i have noticed a strange smell when I get out of the truck after running it a bit. It is kind of a hot, oily smell if that makes sense. I checked under the hood and it appears that there is oil around both of the rubber boots on both sides of the turbo outlet side pipe. Would this mean the turbo is going/leaking or does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks in advance.

IMO I would do the CCV reroute. When I did mine at only 5000 miles I already had an oil film on the inlet side of the turbo. Seeing you have as many miles as you do I would be will to bet that yours is full of oil. As you know the CCV is on the inlet side which goes through the turbo and inter cooler. When and if you do the reroute you need to pull the two bottom hoses off of the inter cooler and let it drain for awhile. It would be best if the truck was hot when you did this since hot oil drains quicker than cold. I am sure you will get plenty of responses, this is just my opinion.
