Nose Interchangability

Hello fellow Super Duty fans,
Does anyone know the interchangeability of the factory grilles, bumpers, and headlights between the previous generation (say 2001) model F250 and the last generation (say 2005-2006)?
I believe I have seen ’99-01 trucks with the ’05 headlights and even the ’05 grille fitted, but not the bumpers (the type with body colored plastic above the chrome, not the other way around as on the ’01).
Is this because it will not mount up? Honestly, the newer grilles and lights didn’t seem to look right with the older bumper, but it sure looks sleek with the whole package.
Thought it would give the old girl a fresh look if it simply bolted on.
Any feedback from any of you pro body guys would be appreciated.
Thanks.

The 05 grille is taller than the previous years. So to use the 05 grille, you need the 05 bumper or you have to cut the grille up. I like the bumper and the head lights, but the grille always seemed too big to me. I have the 05 lamps for mine when I find bulbs I want to use.

So if I'm reading this right, I can put any "standard" headlights from SD's up through 2005 on my '99?
That would be nice... My '99 headlights are in bad shape. I'm sure I can find nicer from a later model. Which are believed to have the best lighting performance?

If you only use the 05-07 headlights you will have to cut up your 99 header panel for them to fit which alot of people have done with good results.

Or yes with a little work, you can fit 99-07 headlights. 99-04 are pretty much bolt on.

Grille/Bumper exchange

Hey Tacoma,
Many thanks for the info.
Glad to see someone else wastes time and money on these types of wacky things!
Thanks to all for the feedback.
