Simple answer I am sure..........

I have a transmission bolted behind a 500cid cadillac motor in my 1961 F-100 and it has a big C6 on the bellhousing. I know what you are thinking.....I am just checking what the shift pattern is. The truck has a B&M floor shifter, where park is all the way forward. I have to pull back 2 times to go into reverse??? Is that right or is it misadjusted? I have only pedaled the truck around the block and it doesnt seem like it shifts very well. Is there a checklist of things to check on a C6 that anyone could recommend? Thanks for the feedback

It doesn't sound right to me, but remember that you can get different valve bodies for a C6. Are you sure it's a C6? Is there an adapter plate between the tranny and the motor?

Pattern should say PRND21.

But your shifter is different, so it won't matter.
