Most of my accents are wood grain cause of the lariat package. I did order a new console with brackets though. I will keep my eyes out for a set of covers.

for those who have put an 08 console in an older truck, does it actually function as an arm rest? My only complaint with my 2006 is the arm rests. I loved the armrest/console that was part of my 2000 with bench seats. I plow highway ramps so spend lots and lots of time (days on end some time) driving and shifting back and forth. The 06 arm rests on the captains chairs are way to narrow and high to be comfortable and the center console is too low to be of any comfort. Not to mention it sucks loosing things inside that cave of a console.

Has anyone put the gray (medium stone) in an older gray leather truck? How do the colors look?

I've seen some with a cup holder in the back and some without. Is the cup holder a separate part or do I have to find a specific crew cab one?

I just put an 08 center console in my truck for the same reasons you said. I am a tall guy and the arm rests are in the buckets are narrow and not long enough for me either. I did not get a console with a set of rear cup holders but I have them in my seat anyway. Also the color is not exact but you cant see most of the color what you do see is the black top and accents. I would say the color of the new grey is very light and almost a sand color. It looks good in my truck because I do have some black accents and I have an all black truck anyway. I will try and post up some pics of it when I can.

You can leave the armrests on and don't let short people drive it , JUST KIDDING!! Or you can remove the armrests and put a patch over the small hole (or not). I installed a set of factory 2008 Seat Leather which didn't have the holes for the armrests.

I noticed your console has cup holders on the back of the console. The ones i have seen on ebay don't have this. Did you get it this way or did you purchase the back piece?
