VW engine for dune buggy

theres a dune buggy for sale fown the road with out an engine. Does anybody here know how much a used engine will cost. I ask here because you guys always seem to know.

Most of the time you can get a whole car for that much, or even less. There's a lady down the street with a bug and she only wants $200 for it. Keep your eye open, there's plenty of VW around.

I bought a completely rebuilt bug motor for my dune buggy for $300. Man that was fun, I wish i hadn't sold it.

Well since your at it anyway whyy not put a v6 oh wait a minut a V8 with fuel injection and put a super supercharger on it. upgrade to a better tranny! Man you would have you one bad bug!!!!

Dude I think that engine would weigh more than the whole dune buggy frame itself. Would have some mad power though...

The old Buick V6's work great in Buggy's/Sandrails. They're all aluminum so they don't way that much and produce well over 200 HP. When you put that much HP in something that weighs less that 1000 lbs, your're gonna flat out move!
