P1405 DPFE Upstream Hose Off Or Plugged
If the hoses are good and are tight on the fittings then the DPFE sensor MIGHT be bad. There is an easy test for that.

Spend a few bucks extra and get one that also features support for "manufacturer-specific" codes. Failure to do so will keep you from reading fault codes from a flashing O/D light.
I would agree, a scan gauge would be cool. Don't look to spend less than $150. If you can find a deal for less than that, great, but make sure it can retrieve freeze frame data, and preferably a couple common live data feeds. And yes, make sure if can do Ford specific codes.
