on total diesel performance it doesnt show hi hp. it shows street race... same thing? or wrong website? and for showing off i thought about the smoke setting but a buddy of mine says that extreme smokes just as much.
Yes. It took a few calls and patience. I left several messages then he called me back right before he ate dinner. We discussed what I needed and had plans for then it was on...
He is a great guy and I hear he is very busy lately so it may be even harder to catch him. I would suggest persistance with e-mails and phone calls if you want to speak to him.
What about gauges? I haven't heard you mention anything about them yet, unless I overlooked them. I wouldn't be any towing if your using anything but the stock tune.
I would not go with the 1.0 housing if your towing and already have 160 sticks in there.
I'd like to see some pictures of how well that 3.5" DP sits between the uppies-tranny-firewall...
You might want to start thinking about clutches.. 160 sticks and decent tunes will smoke it if it's not upgraded.

i think i have a centerforce dual mass clutch in it. (not sure cuz the last owner told me that. he is a friend of mine so i think what he says is creditable) and i was looking at some of those south bend clutches after i smoke this one. i might stay with centerforce though because i've been in two truck pulls, mud-boggin and bumper to bumper pulls (im not nice to it) on the same clutch and its still doesn't slip at all.
ahh... I responded on the the wrong browser. My bad. That tends to happen when you have 8 things open at the same time.
160 sticks with decent program will easy build more than 25 lbs of boost and really strain a stock clutch. Not sure a diablo chip would give it a run for its money.
Anyways, the dual mass is junk. There only last about 100k and will eventually go out, reguardless if they are abused or not. I guess they are alright clutches, but a single mass is a heck of a lot better. I wouldn't think your talking about a dual disc clutch?
They run about $1500 plus the special hydraulic system for it. Although I remember Volair having a (ceramic) 3250lbs to 3870lbs for up to 800 H/P for around $1250. Truly amazing clutches. I believe they are primarily for the cummins but I'm sure they have them for the 7.3l as well.
South Bend makes some pretty good clutches. However, I a big fan of Volair.
I dont get it, said he had stage twos and is only geting 22 psi boost? I get that with STOCK sticks. Think someone might be feeding the new guy a line of bull?

actually i get about 25-27psi but still it should push more than that. and also, just left one of my best friend's shop who happens to be the previous owner's mechanic and my truck is on second stock turbo! new news to me. apparently this turbo has about 55,000 on it. he thinks my turbo is shot. my gauge could be wrong i guess but i know its not spooling up enough or fast enough.
so anyway... where do i go to get a new/reman turbo? im on a budget... wanted to do other mods. hell if a stock turbo will put out at least 30 psi or more w/ 160 sticks i will find another stock one. nvm i'll start a new thread
