Has Anyone Upgraded Their Ex To Rival The Most Lux Suv's On The Market, Something Like Interior Trims Offered By Lexus, Mb And Cadilliac. Molded Wood Dash Kits, Wood/leather Steering Wheel Or Nav Systems.

I've always wanted to upgrade to woodgrain on the dash, wheel, doors, etc. but I can't talk myself into it until I can actually see one in person. Pictures are not adequate for a "fit and finish" snob like me.
I'm always hoping to run into one locally, but so far no luck.

well, doug, as for fit and finish guy such as yourself, its a FACTORY lincoln navigator wheel. so theres nothing really to ponder..
neal, the wheel was a direct swap and i found it on ebay brand new for only $65. i am not sure if its available from ford or not still. not all years are transferrable because of the splines on the steering shaft. but, i do think that it retails for over $400.

I found it odd that it was a lincoln wheel with a ford emblem.

Is it not a Lincoln Navigator steering wheel with the existing Ford Excursion air bag installed in it?

available?? doesnt yours have them? my x came with them. is yours a limited? maybe they changed it after the 2000.. oh, they arent wood, its glorified plastic. the steering wheel is wood though.
neal, the steering wheels are just that. it comes with the buttons on it but no air bag. you have to use yours.
