Exhaust Back Pressure Sensor. Do I need it?

I have been having a lot of trouble with my 96 psd, and I recently noticed that my EBPS was cracked to the point of being ready to break. I guess my question is, do I need to keep it in there since my EBPV has been gutted? Will I notice any difference in the way it runs if I disconnect it?

With the valve gutted you dont need the sensor. It will throw a code but it wont effect performance at all.

x2, according to the international engineers the ebp sensor has absoultly no effect on performance/fueling, despite what many people may tell you. this applies to all 7.3 liter engines.
