i need to paint the under side of my fenders and my running boards, and was thinking of useing some black bed liner paint. has anyone tryed useing it for this purpose?? cheers
Linex, Hippo liner or other rubberized rock guard will work to deaden the sound and prevent damage from rocks, I myself am using hippo liner from NAPA in my fenders under the cab and running boards.
I used some of the spray on bedliner product from Dupli-color on the underside of my floor and it seems to work fine. Not as thick as the Line-x or Rhino but that's fine, I don't need volume just a little more durability against rock chips, etc. I will be using it on the underside of the fenders as well.
I plan on using the same Herculiner that I put in the bed. It's a roll-on and easy to use. It has stood up very well in my bed for about 3 years now. Pretty tough stuff and not too pricey. Pep Boys and Kragen sell it locally.
I'm hoping to spray the whole under side of my panel before the weather turns too ugly, I've got the Hippo liner brand and also picked up the spray gun for that purpose.
