What YEAR??

Hi All: I'm trying to figure out what year this Ford Truck box is. I'm guessing 1948 but really don't know. I'm going to try to insert 2 pictures.... A side view and a tailgate view.....the pictures are in the gallery under title 'Ford F1'. If I can't figure that out the tailgate has a vertical bar on the left, The word FORD in raised block letters then another vertical bar on the right....Thanks in advance for all who reply to help me figure out the year.

Looks like a 53-56 F-100 for sure I think it is the same through 72 also.

Jaye is right on , later than 52 ; 53-56 is more accurate.

Thanks a lot for the help thus far. I thought the tailgate on the 53 had 3 boxes on the back with the word 'Ford' in the middle box..

The '48-52 has the three block panels with the Ford in script in the middle block.
