Need shifter ideas.
Hello, I need to put my old top loading 3 speed trans. back in my 66. I took it out years ago and installed a top loading 3 speed/OD from a 76 van. The original shifter was on the column and all the shift parts are long gone. Does anyone know of a TALL shifter that will fit? The OD trans has a very tall shifter that works great and would like something similer for the 3 speed. THANKS.

Was told when I first installed the o/d that it could'nt handle the torque, guess they were right. It has developed vibration and hell of a noise that gets louder every day. Pretty sure the cluster bearings or bearing on the input shaft are gone, probably both, as the noise drops about 80% in direct (3) gear. plan on rebuilding it and putting it back in if the gears are in fairly good shape but need somthing in the mean time.
