mufflers besides flowmaster?

what are some other brands of muffler besides flowmaster that are loud but still sound good? Just want something different because everybody has flowmasters on their trucks around here.

The dynomax Ultra-Flo is a great muffler IMO, it uses glass packing which gives a sound I like. Used to have one on my 6.8l but took it off when I got my headers on. Still have the muffler.

for a complete line of mufflers from quiet to loud look at cherrybomb..

i have the extreme muffler which is the similar to the Flowmaster 10 series (cheaper too). which is a single chamber muffler

but here is a whole list of companies to do research on if you like the sounds.

Mufflers

plus check youtube if you are looking for a certain muffler cause there are videos up of actual useage most of the time and it will give you a chance to hear if you like the muffler..

check out the Hooker Aero Chamber. The sounded awesome on my 72 377 Cleveland Ranchero. Also on my 93 5.0 and 00 Dakota RT. They out flow the Blomaster and have a non tinny sound.

IMO

The round magna flow ultra flows sound awsome! Ive got a 3" in/out with a six inch case on my john deere 4020 diesel and it sounds so awsome I am planning on installing a pair of 2" in/out with a 4" case on my F6. Go to shopmufflers.com and select the brand you want and you can look up any muffler you want by pipe size and case style and dim. plus you can get the part number if you want to shop around.

There's a reason everyone uses Flowmaster.

I have a 44 series FM on my pickup. My only complaint; Too loud. Wish I had gone with the 50 series or ran the pipes straight out the back. Otherwise, nothing around here sounds as mean as my truck when I really stomp on it, IMO.

What year is your truck and what motor? Borla is very good IMO if you have the money. Aero is good too. Both of these companies have a straight thru design too. Gives you that nice deep aggressive sound.

I actually liked Summits welded muffler (like a FM). It was cheap and well constructed. Sounded pretty good on a 4.9L.

Im looking for good flow and quiet (maybe a little hum). I dont want a loud and obnoxious exhaust. I dont want the world to know I have 500 horses under the hood.
