So I was just looking for some opinions from anyone that might have some input on my options. I've been pricing tires for a couple of weeks now and I've cut my list down to 2. These are for stock size 235/85/R16 by the way. On the cheaper side I can go with the Goodyear Tracker 2 tires which are only available through Wally World (thus the lack of info on them). I have a family member that works there that can get a discount and mounted with road hazard warranty it looks like I'd spend around $500 or so. However, as I said before, I don't have much info on that tire, especially in that size. Now for about an extra $100 I can get the BFG Commercial T/A's from Costco also mounted with warranty. I've heard good things about them but I'm wondering if they are 100 bucks better than the Wally Goodyears. Both are 50,000 mile warrantied. I'm not thrilled about spend this much for tires to begin with but it's necessary. Just trying to balance price and quality. I'm open to opinions on these if anybody has any experience with them or any other tire they'd like to throw into the mix. I just want to stay with a stock size, E load rated highway tire (no AT's). Thanks for any info fellas.
my pickup had them on it when i bought it. they are rated for it Load range E. i never had any problems with them, the always held air, i just had an alignment problem chew one of them up. i cant tell you how many miles they lasted as they were on the truck when i got it. i had them on there for about a year and a half..so..roughly 35000 miles, and i didnt shy away from spinning them. i had no complaints they got me into places that i didnt expect...sometimes stuck. dont get me wrong there is better performing tires but they did fine.
