I posted in the bronco ll form but no luck yet. My son has a 1990 bronco ll with the 2.9 it was running fine till he changed out the postive cable to the battery, now it won,t run, it turns over. No fire to the plugs their is weak spark at the coil when the key is turned to the crank position and when you let it go back to the run position. He has changed the coil with a spare, he has changed the modual on the side of the distributer.
Iam stumped any ideas as what the problem might be. Thanks Forgot to add it has the TFI-IV ignition system.
Sounds like he may have left the wire off that runs from the starter solenoid to the TFI module on the distributor.
Put a test light on the coil tach (-) wire and see if it is flashing while you crank it.
Also check over that coil plug real good as I have seen a lot of these with a bad plug doing this.
