I have been using an Evolution Programmer (Edge Product) for my 2001 F150 Supercrew 5.4 L Gas engine.
I have been using level 2 to get better gas mileage. It went from 13-15 mpg to around 14 to 16.5 mpg Highway and city driving. I am using a Borla catback Exhaust on 20 inches rims with Brembo front rotor and Rotora rear rotor.
I have been making small changes to over the months so the gas mileages goes up and down.
I changed my KN generation one intake (No cold air box) to a Volant Intake (With Cold air box) and noticed a small increase in gas mileage for city driving using the Volant, but the KN is better for high way driving. Volant intake is 3.5 to 3 inches so it has better throttle responds on low end and the KN intake is 4 to 3 inches so it is better for the high end. With the Volant it average around 14.75 to 15 mpg.
Then I changed my factor coil to the Pro Series X 60,000 Volts and I noticed the throttle responds gone up again and the mpg gone up about 0.25 mpg to around 15.5 mpg
After that I change the Spark plug to NGK Laser Platinum and IX Iridium Spark Plugs and noticed a very small increase in gas mileage about 15.6 mpg.
I then added the Granatelli Mass Air Sensor and noticed a big decrease in gas mileage using the Volant intake about 14 mpg, but throttle responds gone way up. The Edge Programmer on level two did not shift right with this combination.
The Granatelli Mass Air Sensor with KN intake tube and Volant cold air box and a 4 inch hump hose did not work right gas and spark reading was all over the place.
After that then added Sun Hyper Magnet and gas mileage went to 16.5 and the Edge programmer started to shift better.
I am currently testing Sun Hyper Voltage System GT & Hyper Ground Wire
I read all the posts and didn't see anything on someone who actually liked the Edge. I will admit that I do. Have the EVO purchased from Jodi last summer. Mostly for the gauges but found out that it does actually boost performance. Will not use it on the "Tow Safe Mode" because every time I tried it the Trans temp shot up like a rocket. Set it on the level II or Level III and you have instant throttle response and lots of pulling power. Can set the cruise pulling a 40ft toy hauler, then just sit back and relax. Some day I will call Jodi again about adding his Chip but will try to be close to his shop then and let him really set it up for me. Have spend so much on this 99 that I can't ever sell it.
Dont get me wrong I like my Edge and so do all my friends enough that three of them went and got the same set up but I never heard of a Dp tuner at that point and apparently its alot better I will make the switch when I finally get some money I also want to switch to the A pillar gauges because I like the way they Look so I will have alot of edge stuff for sale one day

Hey wait a min. You got the evo from DP? Does it have edge tunes or DP tunes? DP did flash those for a while so you could have DP. Judging by your description of the tow safe and trans temps I would say no but....
Getting an edge is like turning 21 and getting to drink coors light to your hearts content. Going from edge to dp is like discovering Red Hook! (feel free to use anything in here you'd like. 3 fingers taquila and aha toro...)
No, no , no friends...... going to DP is like graduating to Gran Patron Tequila!!! there aint nothing better! i hd an edge on mine and my wifes. pattys started acting up and low and behold the transmission pretty much melted. coincidence, maybe, but i swear that edge had something to do with it. i got the DP witht he F5 switch for my truck and the difference is insane!!! i then sent pattys edge evo to DP (this was about a year and a half ago) and had them flash the edge evo with thte DP Tunes and it is right on now!!! they cannot do that anymore though for some reason that they explained but i dont remember. i am glad you all have had no problems and i hope you never do, but i have to say thumbs down edge, and three cheers for DP tunes!!!!
Got the edge from Jodi right after he decided he could no longer flash his tunes on it. Guess he gave me a good price on it knowing. Almost bought some Gran Patron today. Like the DP just don't have the extra cash lying around. Have to do the poor mans stuff for a bit longer. Am saving my pennys every day though.
I think crown royal could fit there. What is this red hook doesnt sound to great LOL
Redhook is a very good beer (Micro) that is brewed here in Washington State and Vermont. Originated in Ballard, suburb of Seattle. Dam good beer, usually on tap right here in the kegerator. Now for the CR, Cask 16 would be the way to go. No mixing.

Yes. There was a short time we could, but stopped when Edge started their EPA and carb certifications last November.
